Tragically on 11 January 2019 at Littlemill Bridge, Munlochy, Mohamed Bakari Chache (Mo), beloved husband to Sandra and son to Mwantatu and the late Bakari.  Mo was a hugely influential member of a large, extended family based here in the UK, in Canada and especially on Zanzibar.  Mo is survived by Ally, Seif, Khamis, Kassim, Matti, Saidi, Yussuf, Hidaya and Fatuma. Greatly missed by his family and many friends in Inverness and around the world including work colleagues, football teammates, neighbours and regular passengers on his bus routes. Mo’s family give heartfelt thanks to the many members of the public for their expressions of condolence and sympathy and to those officials who have provided support during this difficult time. With special mention to: Liz Reid, Police Liaison, for her empathy, sensitivity and warmth; Robbie and Angus, Road Policing, for their care and attention; Jim Mooney, Stagecoach, for support and practical help; Imam Ibrahim and Dr Wahidi, Inverness Mosque, and members of the Islamic community for their intervention, prayers and advice; D Chisholm & Sons, Funeral Directors, for their all-round care and attention with particular thanks to George and Hazel for the highest level of professionalism provided. Mo’s wife, Sandra, sends her thoughts and best wishes to those passengers injured in the bus accident for their recuperation towards a full recovery. Mo will be buried in Bambi on the island of Zanzibar on Saturday 9 February 2019.
